Health New Zealand | Te Whatu Ora is offering a Surgical House Officer/Senior House Officer 2027 RMO Training year at Palmerston North Hospital. The role supports structured teams with registrars and consultants to enhance surgical experience across runs in ENT/Ophthalmology, Urology, Orthopaedics, Surgical Relief and General Surgery, with options for ICU and Emergency Medicine rotations.

• Completed PGY1 or equivalent.

Responsibilities

• Work in structured teams supported by registrars and consultants.
• Rotate through ENT/Ophthalmology, Urology, Orthopaedics, Surgical Relief, General Surgery.
• Opportunities for ICU and Emergency Medicine rotations.
• Strong candidates are encouraged into registrar positions.
