Job summary

You will work with leading scientists on a pheromone and gas analysis project, contributing to data collection and analysis, and gaining skills in lab techniques, wind tunnel testing, and field trials.

Qualifications

• Undergraduate student or recent graduate in a relevant science or engineering field.
• Laboratory experience is essential.
• Strong attention to detail and data handling skills.
• Good communication and ability to work in a team.
• Willingness to learn and adapt in a research environment.

Responsibilities

• Laboratory verification of components for the Fast Response Continuous Gas Analyser and understand its limits.
• Test detection limits and build concentration curves for SF6 gas.
• Assist design and build of a gas release device with known release rates.
• Conduct wind tunnel experiments to assess device response.
• Assist in field trials if laboratory and wind tunnel tests are validated.
• Work independently and proactively, ensuring meticulous and timely work.
• Data entry and preliminary analysis of results.
