Job summary

Te Aho o Te Kura Pounamu is seeking a Student Support Advisor based at our Wellington office. You will apply your proven communication and relationship management skills to support ākonga learning journeys with NZ Curriculum and NZ Qualifications framework knowledge.

You will work with a range of stakeholders to regularly review education needs and programmes, helping ākonga achieve their personal and educational goals within a flexible, supportive environment.

Qualifications

  • Good understanding of learning and teaching programmes, including the NZ Curriculum and NZ Qualifications Framework.

  • Review education needs and programmes of ākonga on a regular basis.

Te Aho o Te Kura Pounamu (Te Kura) is New Zealand's largest school. We provide personalised and authentic learning programmes through distance education from early childhood level to NCEA Level 3, including to young adult and adult learners.

We are looking for a Student Support Advisor with proven skills and experience in working with young people and who has a good understanding of learning and teaching programmes, including the NZ Curriculum and NZ Qualifications framework.

As a Student Support Advisor, you will play an important roleinthe regular reviewof education needs and programmes of our ākongato make a difference in their learning journey.

For this position, we offer a salary range starting from $79,171 to a maximum of $95,668 per annum pro rata. The final salary offer will be determined based on the candidate's unique combination of skills, qualifications, and relevant experience.

You’ll bring your excellent communication and proven relationship management skills and experience working across a variety of stakeholders, together with your willingness to work collaboratively to meet ākonga needs.
