Job summary

NZ Transport Agency Wellington-based Senior Advisor, System Risk Evidence and Insights will analyse data and system intelligence to inform regulatory priorities and investment decisions. You will deliver evidence-based insights to influence strategic decisions at the highest levels.

We seek a candidate with regulatory or public sector experience, strong systems thinking, and the ability to communicate clearly with executives and stakeholders across the public sector ecosystem.

Qualifications

• Postgraduate qualification or equivalent senior-level regulatory/public service experience.
• Ability to analyse complex information, risks and system intelligence.
• Excellent communication across diverse audiences and stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Deliver evidence-based insights to support strategic decision-making.
• Use systems thinking to turn complex information into actionable insights.
• Provide trusted advice that shapes regulatory priorities and outcomes.
• Transform data and intelligence into insights that inform key decisions.
• Lead mapping of regulatory systems to identify risks, gaps and improvement opportunities.
• Prepare strategic risk assessments and insight reporting for senior stakeholders.
