Suncorp New Zealand is seeking an experienced People & Culture Manager to partner with senior leaders, influence strategic decisions, and help build a high-performing workforce that delivers outstanding customer outcomes.

This role combines strategic workforce planning, organisational effectiveness, leadership coaching, and complex people advisory support to translate business strategy into actionable people initiatives for performance and capability growth.

Qualifications

• Significant HR Business Partnering experience within a large, complex corporate environment.
• Proven ability to influence and build credibility with senior leaders and stakeholders.
• Strong experience in strategic workforce planning, organisational design and change management.
• Commercial acumen and the ability to translate business challenges into practical people solutions.
• Strong analytical skills, with the ability to leverage data and insights to inform decision-making.
• A collaborative approach, excellent relationship-building skills and a passion for driving positive business outcomes.

Responsibilities

• Partner with senior leaders and leadership teams to develop and deliver people strategies aligned to business objectives.
• Lead strategic workforce planning initiatives, including future skills assessments, capability planning and workforce transition strategies.
• Provide trusted advice and guidance on complex people matters, organisational design, change initiatives and operating model changes.
• Use workforce insights, people data and market trends to identify risks, opportunities and practical solutions that drive business performance.
• Support the development of high-performing, engaged teams through talent, leadership and performance initiatives.
• Collaborate across People & Culture to continuously improve processes, embed best practice and deliver an exceptional employee experience.
