Job summary

MBIE is seeking a Principal Communications Advisor to lead strategic internal and corporate communications within its Communications and Government Services branch in Wellington. You will work with senior leaders to shape engagement, messaging, and change initiatives, while guiding media strategy and storycraft across a large public organisation.

You will provide expert advice, coaching, and mentoring to build communications capability, ensuring consistent, clear, and impactful communications

Qualifications

• Senior-level communications experience in a large organisation.
• Experience with media management and issues handling.
• Expertise in internal communications and employee engagement.
• Proven ability to lead organisational change initiatives.
• Outstanding writing, editing and strategic thinking.
• Trusted advisor to senior leaders and executives.
