Job summary

ICIB Brokerweb, Auckland City, is seeking two Financial Advisers - Life & Health to join our Auckland team. We are a privately run NZ brokerage operating since 1975 with over 190 team members nationwide.

Role involves assessing clients' insurance needs, presenting suitable products, preparing submissions, renewing policies, and building relationships with diverse clients, including Asian and Chinese-speaking business clients. Hours are 32 per week; hourly wage NZ$34.00–NZ$44.00.

Qualifications

• NZ Certificate in Financial Services L5 (Life & Health) or 3+ years' experience in life/health insurance advised.
• Ability to assess client needs and explain products clearly.

Responsibilities

• Assess clients' insurance needs, business activities and risk exposures, and provide appropriate insurance advice.
• Compare and recommend suitable insurance products and coverage based on clients' requirements.
• Prepare insurance submissions and quotations and negotiate policy terms, premiums and coverage with insurers.
• Arrange, manage and renew insurance policies, ensuring clients maintain appropriate and continuous cover.
• Explain policy terms, conditions, exclusions, risks and coverage to clients in a clear and professional manner.
• Assist clients with insurance claims and liaise with insurers and underwriters on their behalf.
• Review clients' insurance arrangements and identify changes in their business or risk profile requiring updated cover.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, particularly Asian and Chinese-speaking business clients.
• Maintain accurate policy, client and claims records and comply with applicable insurance and financial services requirements.

You must hold NZ Certificate in Financial Services Level 5 (Life & Health strand)
