Job summary

Waipā District Council is seeking a Principal Advisor for Growth, Strategy and Planning in Cambridge, NZ. You will lead strategic thinking to shape growth, investment and planning, working with iwi, central government and partners to achieve strong district outcomes.

You will provide high‑level advice to senior leaders, navigate political considerations, and translate complex issues into clear, actionable recommendations while guiding cross‑functional teams.

Qualifications

• Significant experience providing strategic advice to senior leaders.
• Strong understanding of local and central government machinery.
• Ability to connect ideas and priorities and translate into action.
