Job summary

Tiaki Wai, a council-owned utility in the Hutt Valley, seeks a Senior Finance leader to shape strategy and investment decisions. Reporting to the CFO, you’ll build a small team of advisors and connect long-term financial planning with service outcomes and affordability.

You'll develop the enterprise productivity framework, align investment priorities with customer outcomes, and drive value across operations, technology, and procurement in a formative phase for the organisation.

Qualifications

• Substantial senior experience in strategic finance and economic appraisal.
• Ability to connect investment, affordability, funding, and service performance.
• Experience advising executive and Board level.
• Experience in infrastructure, utilities or regulated environments is valuable.

Responsibilities

• Build and lead Tiaki Wai’s enterprise productivity and efficiency framework.
• Shape long-term financial strategy and investment priorities.
• Lead a small team of advisors and provide clear financial advice.
• Collaborate across Tiaki Wai to deliver major infrastructure decisions.
