Job summary

The Victoria University of Wellington is seeking a Communications and Events Coordinator to join the Student Equity and Wellbeing Portfolio on a permanent, full-time contract. Qualifications

• Experience in communications including social media, digital platforms and writing content.
• Ability to apply brand, tone of voice and plain language standards with excellent grammar.
• Hands-on experience coordinating events end to end (planning, logistics, run sheets, on-the-day delivery).
• Experience in the University environment or with students is advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Edit, format and send service newsletters.
• Create or edit service promotional material such as posters, digital displays.
• Create or edit, format and monitor social media copy, including video content.
• Plan, coordinate and deliver service-led events including event-specific plans and logistics.
• Create or edit web content and simple graphics to support promotions.
• Promote services to increase visibility and audience engagement.
