Job summary

Port of Auckland is seeking an Audit, Risk & Compliance Manager to lead statutory finance compliance, internal audit coordination, risk management and insurance activities. You will support informed decisions and strong governance across the organisation.

You will partner with senior leaders to strengthen controls, ensure regulatory obligations are met, and deliver high-quality board papers and committee reporting. Hybrid working options available.

Qualifications

• Experience in governance, risk, audit, compliance or assurance environments.
• Strong facilitation and influencing skills.
• Ability to prepare high-quality board and committee papers.

Responsibilities

• Lead statutory finance compliance, risk, internal audit, assurance and insurance programmes.
• Develop and coordinate risk-based internal audit plans and activities.
• Maintain compliance registers, review calendars and reporting frameworks.
• Facilitate risk identification, assessment, treatment planning and reviews with business leaders.
• Prepare and quality review Audit & Risk Committee papers, reports and recommendations.
• Monitor compliance obligations and advise on regulatory requirements.
• Manage audit findings, remediation actions and assurance activities; coordinate with auditors and insurers.
• Provide meaningful reporting to CFO, ELT and governance forums.
• Identify opportunities to strengthen governance, controls and organisational performance.
