Job summary

Hellers Ltd is seeking a Specifications Technologist to join the Product Development team in Christchurch, NZ. The role focuses on administering and maintaining specification management systems, ensuring accuracy and compliance across raw materials, packaging, and finished products.

You will support customer portals, review packaging artwork, and drive process improvements across the business while collaborating with Operations, Quality, Procurement, Marketing and external customers.

Qualifications

• Bachelor-level qualifications in food technology or related field are required.
• Experience in food manufacturing or product development and in specifications is preferred.
• Strong documentation and regulatory compliance mindset is essential.

Responsibilities

• Create, maintain and update product specifications for materials, packaging, in-process and finished goods.
• Manage customer specification portals and related systems.
• Review packaging artwork and labels for regulatory and customer compliance.
• Provide system training and technical support to internal stakeholders.
• Generate reports and dashboards to support business operations and improvements.
