Job summary

Southbrook School in Rangiora, Canterbury, is seeking an outstanding educator to lead our Year 0–3 syndicate. You will drive literacy and mathematics pedagogy, coach staff, and promote inclusive Learning Space practices to support tamariki as they transition to school.

The ideal candidate is a highly capable, collaborative teacher with a passion to lead and inspire others, fostering positive relationships within our school team and community.

Qualifications

• NZ trained teacher with current teaching registration.
• Strong pedagogy knowledge in Literacy and Mathematics.
• Ability to lead, coach and inspire others.

Responsibilities

• Lead the Year 0–3 syndicate, driving literacy and mathematics pedagogy.
• Coach and support staff to build strong team relationships.
• Promote and implement inclusive Learning Space practices.
• Support tamariki as they transition to school.

Southbrook School is an amazing place to teach and learn. We are looking for a highly capable, experienced, and passionate teacher to lead in a Year 0-3 team.

We are looking for an outstanding educator with the following qualities:

• A team player who is able to build and maintain positive relationships with all of our school team.
• A teacher who has strong systems and structures and communication.
• A teacher that is able to promote and embrace innovative and inclusive Learning Space practices, and support and nurture tamariki in a positive and purposeful way as they transition to school.
• An outstanding practitioner with strong, current pedagogical, curriculum and assessment knowledge, particularly in Literacy and Mathematics.

This position attracts 1 management unit and release time during each term.
