Tradestaff New Zealand is looking for a Renewable Energy Business Development Manager who enjoys building relationships, identifying opportunities and helping customers find the right solar solution for their needs.
The ideal candidate will be a self-starter, results-driven, capable of self-generating leads (cold calling), and able to develop strategic partnerships while maintaining a hunter mentality. Travel across Auckland, Hamilton and Tauranga as required.

We’re looking for a motivatedRenewable Energy Business Development Manager who enjoys building relationships, identifying opportunities and helping customers find the right solar solution for their needs.
The ideal candidate will be a self-starter who is highly results based, can self-generate leads (includes cold calling), can build strategic partnerships, and must have a hunter type mentality!
The role
You’ll be responsible for:
- Generating new sales through calls, email, referrals and networking.
- Meeting with residential and commercial customers to understand their energy needs.
- Recommending tailored solar solutions and preparing quotes and proposals.
- Managing your sales pipeline and following opportunities through to close.
- Building strong customer relationships and creating referral opportunities.
- Working alongside technical and installation teams to deliver a great customer experience.
- Achieving and exceeding individual sales targets.
About you
You’ll bring proven sales experience, strong communication skills and a confident, customer-focused approach. Experience in renewable energy is a must.
You’ll need to be self-motivated, commercially driven, comfortable handling objections and confident working both independently and as part of a team.
Acurrent NZ driver's licence is required, along with the flexibility to travel around Auckland, Hamilton and Tauranga for customer meetings.

We are looking for a specialist roller door installer/technician with a can do attitude, who is self driven, reliable, professional and courteous.
Not a specialist yet? …don’t worry we’ll get you there… for the right person we will provide on the job training and all the tools you need. Initially you’ll buddy up with another installer so you can learn the different aspects of the role and we can find your best fit within the team.
Regular drug testing is part of our Company Policy so you will need to pass a pre-employment drug test prior to any offer of employment.
You will work with a team of experienced installers and as we can get really busy there are opportunities to earn extra through extended hours (including Saturdays) with potential for increased financial recognition as you improve your skills and customer service levels.
HT license, Hi-ab crane certification and welding tickets an advantage for this role
About You
- Keen eye for accuracy and attention to detail
- Mechanically minded/ foward thinker
- Competent with hand and power tools
- Strong work ethic with high energy levelsand good communication
- Physically fit person (okay with height and ladder work)
- Able to work unsupervised and/or in a team environment
- A clean, full driver's license - with ability to drive manual and automatic vehicles (and back a trailer)
- Experience preferred but not essential as full training will be provided
The Role
- Installation of Industrial Roller Doors and Motors in compliance with company standards
- Maintaining cleanliness on site and keeping your truck well stocked and organised
- Filling in job sheets accurately and recording essential job information
- Following site instructions and adhering to health and safety procedures
- Located in Hamilton, we service the greater Waikato with regular out of town travel (overnight stays a possibility)
- Busy and varied role working on residential, commercial and retail sites
- Full time Mon-Fri position with occasional Saturday work to meet client demands.
