Oranga Tamariki – Ministry for Children in Auckland is seeking permanent, fulltime Social Workers to help safeguard and support tamariki and their families. Join a team with big hearts and a commitment to doing what is right for children, young people and communities.

Key requirements include registration with the SWRB or eligible to register, a recognized social work qualification, a current NZ driver's licence, and strong communication and report-writing skills.

Qualifications

• Registration with NZ Social Work Registration Board (SWRB) or eligible to register.
• Social work qualification recognised by SWRB.
• A full, clean, current NZ driver’s licence.
• Excellent written and oral communication skills.
• Demonstrated resilience, problem solving techniques and flexibility.
• Excellent time management and organisational skills.
• Strong PC and Microsoft Office Suite skills with excellent report writing skills.
• Understanding and appreciation of cross-cultural practices, including tikanga Māori and Pacific cultures.

Responsabilités

• Collaborate with other social services, agencies and providers to meet the needs of the child or young person and their family.
• Support the development and delivery of effective support plans and services to tamariki and rangatahi.
