Taupo-nui-a-Tia College is seeking to appoint a passionate and skilled Social Science teacher to join our team. This is a 0.6 part-time, permanent position commencing 28th January 2026.

We are looking for an inspiring, collaborative, student-focused educator who is culturally responsive and relational. The successful applicant will be passionate about working with rangatahi, able to build positive, learning-focused relationships, and enjoy contributing to a supportive team environment.

Co-curricular involvement in the wider life of the school is encouraged and considered an advantage.

Taupo-nui-a-Tia College is a co-educational secondary school with a roll of approximately 1150 students. Around 30% of our students identify as Māori, and we maintain strong connections with our local iwi, Ngāti Tūwharetoa. The successful candidates will be committed to learning about or continuing their journey with Ngāti Tūwharetoatanga. Understanding the stories, land, and people of our mana whenua is essential to working in our school.
