Job summary

Pet Doctors Thorndon is seeking a part-time Small Animal Veterinarian to cover one Wednesday per week, with weekend work on a 1:4 or 2:4 pattern. There is potential for additional hours during weekends or leave cover.

This role suits a Vet returning to practice, moving to part-time, or exploring another venture while maintaining clinical work. You will join a supportive team with Vet Nurses and receptionists on each shift, and access to on-site facilities.

Qualifications

• BVSc or equivalent Small Animal Veterinarian with ability to work sole charge.
• Confident with routine consults and surgery.
• Motivated, friendly, enthusiastic team player.

Responsibilities

• Cover 1 day per week on a Wednesday.
• Weekend shifts on a 1:4 or 2:4 pattern (Sat 8:30am-5:30pm; Sun 10:30am-3:00pm).
• Supportive teamwork with Vet Nurse and Receptionist on each shift.
• Potential for additional hours/weekends for leave cover.

Are you an experienced Small Animal Vet looking for a part time opportunity? This could be the role for you!

Pet Doctors Thorndon are seeking a part time Vet to cover 1 day per week on a Wednesday plus either 1:4 or 2:4 weekends - with the opportunity for additional hours/weekends for occasional leave cover also available.

This could be a perfect opportunity for a Vet who is wanting to return to practice, drop to part-time work, or maybe pursuing another venture but would like to keep a hand in clinical work.

• You would be supported on each shift by a Vet Nurse and Receptionist, the weekend vet is sole charge.
