Job summary

Waikato Garage Doors is seeking a hands-on Manufacturing/Factory Hand with solid welding skills to join our Hamilton team. You will manufacture Tilt Doors and PA Doors, insulate and stain sectional doors, and help keep the workshop clean and stocked while learning the full breadth of our operation.

Qualifications

• Keen eye for accuracy and attention to detail.
• Mechanically minded/ forward thinker.
• Competent with hand and power tools.
• Strong work ethic with high energy levels and good communication.
• Physically fit (able to lift 20kg and stand for long periods).
• Able to work unsupervised and/or in a team environment.
• Clean, full driver's license with ability to drive manual and automatic vehicles and back a trailer.
• Experience preferred but not essential as full training will be provided.
• Have welding experience and/or welding tickets.

Responsibilities

• Manufacturing Tilt Doors and PA Doors in compliance with company standards.
• Insulating and staining sectional doors.
• Welding parts and brackets.
• Maintaining workshop cleanliness and stocking parts.
• Filling in job sheets accurately and recording essential information.
• Following health and safety procedures.
