Job summary

Foodstuffs is seeking a Maintenance Team Leader to oversee engineering activities across Upper North Island sites, including Auckland DCs and Whangarei Depot. You will guide Engineering Assistants and contractors, plan safe maintenance, and ensure clear communication with stakeholders.

Responsibilities include coordinating reactive and preventative work, managing resources, and supporting H&S with risk assessments and permit work.

Qualifications

• Experience as Engineering technician with ability to step up.
• Permit to Work qualification preferred or required.
• Risk Assessment experience advantageous.
• MHE/EWP licences (or ability to obtain) are required.
• Strong planning and time management skills and effective communication.

Responsibilities

• Ensure completion of on-site maintenance and engineering work across sites.
• Coordinate Engineering Assistants and contractors for reactive and preventative maintenance.
• Support Auckland DCs and Whangarei Depot with planned activities; travel as needed.
• Plan resources to execute activities safely and efficiently.
• Document work and communicate with stakeholders.
• Support H&S team with Permit Issuing, Risk Assessments, and incident investigations.
• Maintain Equipment Asset register (MEX) and document asset movements.
• Scope and execute small to medium CAPEX projects.
• Coordinate site engineering KPIs and reporting.
