Job summary

University of Canterbury’s School of Product Design in Ōtautahi/Christchurch seeks a fixed-term Senior Tutor to contribute to high-quality teaching and learning across undergraduate and postgraduate programmes.

You will deliver teaching in Game Art and Animation pipelines, support student learning, design assessments, provide feedback, and participate in course evaluation and service activities, with a focus on inclusive, research-informed practice.

Qualifications

• Evidence of growing reputation or expertise in Game Art or Animation pipelines.
• Experience teaching Game Arts and Animation pipelines including 2D/3D workflows and version control.
• Commitment to reflective practice and ongoing professional development.
• Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work with students and colleagues.
• Experience with online and remote-study course design and delivery technologies.

Responsibilities

• Deliver high-quality teaching using inclusive and effective pedagogical practices.
• Support programme delivery through tutorials, studios, workshops, and assessments.
• Design and deliver assessments with timely feedback to students.
• Embed UC Graduate Profile and promote critical, analytical, and creative thinking.
• Engage in course evaluation, reflective practice, and service activities.
