Job summary

The Civil Aviation Authority New Zealand – Mount Victoria, North Island – is seeking a Senior Test Analyst to join our Business Transformation Programme. You will ensure new technology solutions are fit for purpose, reliable and ready for use across the organisation.

Working across transformation initiatives, you will plan, coordinate and execute testing activities, collaborate with business experts, delivery teams and vendors, and validate solutions to meet business needs.

• Strong knowledge of testing methodologies, tools and QA practices.
• Experience in Agile environments and behaviour-driven testing.

About the Role

We're looking for a Senior Test Analyst to join our Business Transformation Programme and play a key role in ensuring new technology solutions are fit for purpose, reliable and ready for use across the organisation.

Working across a range of transformation initiatives, you'll help embed quality throughout the delivery lifecycle by planning, coordinating and executing testing activities that support successful project outcomes. You'll work closely with business experts, delivery teams and vendors to validate solutions, identify risks and provide confidence that systems meet business needs.

This role offers the opportunity to influence how technology is delivered at CAA while contributing to a significant programme of organisational change that will shape the future of our services and operations.

The salary band for this role is $98,689 - $120,941. Starting salaries are based on knowledge, skills and experience the successful candidate brings to the role, as well as internal relativities.

What You'll Bring

You'll be an experienced testing professional who enjoys solving complex problems and working collaboratively to deliver high-quality outcomes. You'll bring a strong understanding of testing methodologies, excellent stakeholder engagement skills and the ability to provide confidence that technology solutions meet business expectations.

To succeed in this role you'll demonstrate:

• Experience delivering testing activities across complex technology projects.
• Strong knowledge of software testing methodologies, tools and quality assurance practices.
• Experience developing and executing functional and non-functional test scenarios.
• Knowledge of Agile delivery environments and behaviour-driven testing approaches.
• The ability to identify risks, analyse issues and implement practical solutions.
• Strong stakeholder engagement skills and the confidence to work across all levels of an organisation.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including clear reporting and documentation.
• Experience working with modern cloud-based technology environments and delivery teams.
