• 5 years experience with Apache Kafka essential, Confluent Kafka preferred.
• Proven experience using SQL, relational databases, and API development.
• Extensive experience handling high velocity, high volume data events.
• Extensive knowledge in Java, Scala, Python, shell scripting, and Terraform.

• Identify and solve big data problems independently.
• Work closely with data developers on build issues.
• Develop Producer/Consumer API, create Topics, coding KsqlDB, Flink, and connectors.

• Develop real time data pipelines, designing software to scale to performance

In this role, you will develop real time data pipelines, designing software to scale to performance, and be a promoter for all things data engineering. Play a pivotal role within large teams of data engineers. Bring lots of creativity translating into data solutions especially within a digital data environment. Help build Auckland Transport's (AT) future big data platform that will enable improved decision making and responsiveness to an ever-changing market. Back with very large data sets, an Agile and collaborative culture, and a focus on cloud-based data architectures and services.

A day in the life of a Senior Integration Specialist looks like:

• Independently Design and build/configure Big data pipelines as per the design
• Identify and solve big data problems independently
• Work closely with data developer(s) to report any issues in build.
• Develop Producer/Consumer API, create Topics, coding KsqlDB, Flink and connectors
