Job summary

Rocket Lab in Auckland, New Zealand, is seeking a Senior Structural Analyst to own structural analysis for the Neutron launch vehicle. You will work with design, manufacturing, and test engineers to develop and validate primary and secondary structures from concept to completion.

Qualifications

• Degree in Mechanical Engineering or similar field.
• 5+ years’ experience performing structural analysis in high performance applications.
• Strong understanding of composites engineering fundamentals.

Responsibilities

• Support analysis of primary and secondary structures, including composites and metallic components.
• Build, run, and post-process FE models to assess designs under static, dynamic, and thermal loads.
• Collaborate with design and manufacturing to select materials and define build processes.
• Define test plans with test engineers and post-process data against predictions.
• Develop and document structural analysis methods.
• Identify and solve technical challenges to maintain project pace.
• Mentor junior engineers.
