Job summary

Rocket Lab is seeking a Senior Development Engineer to help shape the Neutron vehicle architecture. You will develop concepts, detailed designs, and drawing packages for metallic and composite components, collaborating with analysis and manufacturing engineers to meet functional and performance requirements.

Qualifications

• Degree in aerospace, mechanical or mechatronic engineering or equivalent qualification.
• 5+ years designing high performance mechanical systems.
• Proficiency with CAD software NX, Fibersim, SolidWorks, or CATIA.
• Strong communication and analytical skills, able to work under pressure.

Responsibilities

• Produce and iterate conceptual designs in CAD for structures and mechanisms across the Neutron launch vehicle.
• Identify and solve technical challenges to keep projects safe and fast.
• Prepare drawing packages and technical reports with manufacturability in mind.
