Job summary

Rocket Lab in Auckland, New Zealand, is seeking a Senior Software Engineer – Operations Software to join the Neutron/Space Systems team. You will create, maintain, deploy and support software components used in launch vehicle and spacecraft operations, with ownership of features from concept to production.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in software engineering, Computer Science, Electrical Engineering or similar.
• Minimum of 5+ years' experience in related field.
• Experience with Git.
• Experience with Redmine, Jira, or other issue tracker.
• High-performance systems & scalability.

Responsibilities

• Acquire, ingest and store telemetry from launch operations and spacecraft operations.
• Design and implement software, tests, and architecture based on feature requests and bug fixes.
• Create operational documentation for software products.
• Manage and review source code and establish code review standards.
