As a senior member of the Application Services Development team, you’ll be hands-on in developing, configuring, enhancing and operating enterprise applications that support important business processes across Transpower. You’ll contribute to solution design and continuous improvement of our engineering standards, helping ensure our applications are secure, maintainable, reliable and fit for purpose in production.
With a strong focus on enterprise application delivery, you’ll lead the technical delivery of new features, enhancements, platform changes and lifecycle upgrades across a varied application portfolio. This may include custom development, low-code configuration, workflow automation, APIs and integrations between SaaS, COTS and on-premise systems. You’ll work closely with Business Analysts, Architects, Principal Engineers, other Engineers, platform owners and Operations teams to deliver practical, supportable outcomes. This role also includes periodic third-level support and maintenance activities to keep important services running smoothly.
You’re an experienced Senior Software Engineer who enjoys working across the full application lifecycle, from analysis and design through to build, configuration, release and production support. You think in systems, understand how applications fit within an enterprise architecture, and can translate complex business requirements into pragmatic, maintainable solutions for critical business environments.
You have a strong sense of ownership for your technical outcomes, and you support the growth of others through mentoring, constructive code reviews, knowledge sharing and continuous improvement. You’re passionate about high-quality delivery, including testing, monitoring, logging and supportability, and you embed secure development practices into everything you do.
