Job summary

Arvionservices is seeking an experienced Senior QA Engineer to own end-to-end quality for a global fintech platform. You will drive test automation strategy, mentor QA engineers, and modernize testing practices across large-scale payment systems.

The role requires hands-on design of integration tests, contract testing, and AI-assisted testing, with collaboration across Engineering, Product, Architecture, and Compliance teams.

Qualifications

• 6–10+ years designing production-grade test automation solutions.
• Strong programming skills in JavaScript, TypeScript, Python or C# or similar.
• Proven experience in test framework design and quality architecture.
• SQL and relational databases understanding for testing, validation and troubleshooting.
• Hands-on experience with API testing tools such as Postman, Bruno, or equivalent.
• Strong UI automation experience with Playwright or Cypress.
• Knowledge of functional and non-functional testing methodologies including performance and security testing.
• Experience balancing manual and automated testing approaches for optimal quality.
• Experience using AI-assisted development and testing tools (e.g., Copilot).
• Experience with AWS and CI/CD pipeline ownership.

Responsibilities

This role is ideal for a hands‑on quality engineering professional who takes ownership of quality end-to-end, drives test automation strategy, and helps modernize testing practices across large‑scale payment platforms. The successful candidate will combine strong technical expertise with leadership capabilities to shape quality standards and mentor engineering teams.

What You Will Do:

• Design and own integration test frameworks and contract testing solutions for critical financial transaction flows and partner integrations.
• Lead the development of test automation frameworks that support production release processes across onboarding, compliance, payments, foreign exchange, settlement, and related domains.
• Define and maintain the appropriate balance between manual and automated testing strategies.

What Makes You a Good Fit:

• 6 to 10+ years of experience designing and building production‑grade test automation solutions.
• Strong programming skills in JavaScript, TypeScript, Python, C#, or similar languages.
• Proven experience in test framework design, system design, and quality architecture.
• Solid understanding of SQL and relational databases for testing, validation, and troubleshooting.
• Hands‑on experience with API testing tools such as Postman, Bruno, or equivalent.
• Strong experience with UI automation frameworks such as Playwright, Cypress, or similar technologies.

• Experience balancing manual and automated testing approaches to achieve optimal quality outcomes.
• Hands‑on experience using AI‑assisted development and testing tools such as GitHub Copilot, Cursor, Claude Code, or equivalent platforms.
• Experience with AWS cloud environments and CI/CD pipeline ownership, including release gate implementation.
• Prior experience within payments, foreign exchange, fintech, or other regulated industries.
• Demonstrated technical leadership experience in quality engineering, including test architecture decisions and code reviews.
• Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.

Nice to Have:

• Experience with contract testing frameworks such as Pact or equivalent.
• Experience testing desktop or Windows‑based applications.
• Mobile application test automation experience.
• Experience leading test modernization initiatives or enterprise quality transformation programs.
