Job summary

Air New Zealand is seeking a Senior QA Engineer to join our Auckland Airport Campus team. You will lead automation initiatives and ensure high-quality software aligns with our customer-focused standards.

You will design, develop and maintain automation scripts, mentor QA engineers, and collaborate with architects, developers and BA’s to improve testing processes in an Agile environment. The role requires 5+ years in senior QA automation, strong Java testing skills, Selenium/Playwright

Qualifications

5+ years in a Senior QA Automation role.
Experience building test strategies for complex tech environments.
Hands-on Java automation with modern frameworks.
Mentoring and guiding QA engineers.
Collaborative work across product teams in Agile.

Responsibilities

Design, develop and execute new automation scenarios from requirements.
Maintain and monitor existing automation and regression testing.
Apply software engineering principles to testing for value.
Collaborate with architects, software engineers, QA and BA’s to improve design for automation.
Contribute to strategic direction and roadmap of automation tools and processes.
Ensure manual and automated tests adhere to standards and guidelines.
Facilitate user acceptance testing to verify requirements and stories.
Provide coaching and mentoring to QA engineers.
