🖍️ This role

In this role, you will own one or more of Partly’s core products end-to-end. You are the single accountable product lead - responsible for product vision, Product-Market Fit, outcomes, and day-to-day product leadership.

You will work at the intersection of customers, GTM, analytics, and engineering, acting as a mini-CEO for your product(s). Your focus is not just shipping features, but ensuring the product delivers durable customer and business value as Partly scales across markets and segments.

💻 What Will You Do
  • Own one or more products end-to-end, from problem discovery through delivery, adoption, and outcomes.
  • Define and evolve the product vision, strategy, and roadmap to align with the company and product strategy.
  • Continuously assess, establish, and improve Product‑Market Fit across relevant markets and segments.
  • Deeply understand customers, users, buyers, and their workflows; translate insights into clear product decisions.
  • Own key product and Product‑Led Growth metrics (e.g. activation, adoption, retention, expansion) and use them to steer prioritisation.
  • Define product success metrics, build and maintain dashboards, and work hands‑on with analytics to inform decisions.
  • Partner closely with engineering leads to balance discovery, delivery, and technical sustainability.
  • Lead outcome‑oriented backlog prioritisation and ensure execution is tied to customer and business impact.
  • Collaborate closely with GTM, marketing, operations, support, and data to align product direction and execution.
  • Communicate priorities, trade‑offs, risks, and learnings clearly to stakeholders.
  • Contribute beyond your own product by supporting cross‑product coherence and raising the overall product bar at Partly.
🥷 Your skills
  • 5+ years of experience in product management, product ownership, or a closely related role, owning products end‑to‑end.
  • Strong sense of ownership and accountability; comfortable serving as the sole owner of product decisions and outcomes.
  • Proven ability to assess and improve Product‑Market Fit across customers, markets, or segments.
  • Deep customer and buyer empathy, with a track record of making evidence‑based product decisions.
  • Strong analytical skills; experience defining product metrics, building dashboards, and working directly with data.
  • Solid product craft: problem framing, discovery, prioritisation, and clear decision‑making.
  • Sufficient technical depth to work credibly with engineers, including building rapid prototypes, scripting, or basic automation.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills; able to align and influence diverse stakeholders.
  • Ability to think systemically and contribute beyond the boundaries of a single product.
Bonus
  • Experience in B2B SaaS, marketplaces, or product‑led growth environments.
  • Experience with complex domains such as automotive, logistics, or supply chains.
  • Experience working across multiple markets or customer segments.

Please note: if you don't have all the skills/experience listed above but believe you could be outstanding in this role, please still consider applying. Many folks often count themselves out. Please allow us to learn more about you and why you're exceptional!

🪅 Benefits
  • High trust, low process and no bureaucracy. We hire exceptional people whose judgment we trust. This means we proactively remove any process or rules that slow us down (for example, our expense policy is simply the “red face test”).
  • Competitive base salary + equity. We offer competitive salaries and generous equity options for all full‑time employees, ensuring everyone shares in the financial upside when we win.
  • Flexible working hours. Choose when to work based on what time you’re most effective (no mandatory or set hours). We combine flexibility with an office‑first approach (in cities where we have critical mass, i.e. London, Christchurch, Auckland).
  • Focus Days. Two days per week, with zero meetings, dedicated solely to uninterrupted deep work.
  • Take time when you need it. We don’t ask questions or care if people have a negative leave balance. We work extremely hard and trust our team to take the time they need to recharge.
  • Offices in Christchurch CBD and on Auckland’s Karangahape Road. We invest heavily in our offices (standing desks, healthy snacks, quality coffee, drinks on tap) to ensure they’re places people are excited by, where they build relationships and get their best work done.
  • Learn from the best. Whether it’s during a ‘Lunch n Learn’ or hearing from a unicorn CEO at a Fireside chat, you’ll have the opportunity to constantly learn from the world’s best.
  • Quarterly season openers & annual global offsite. Connect regularly at the nearest centralised location for a week of collaboration, big‑picture planning and team events.
  • Team connection. Monthly team lunches, celebrating our wins, happy hours and more!
  • Parental leave and flexible return to work. Do what works for you. Primary carers can return with 4‑day weeks (on 100% pay for the first 12 weeks). Secondary carers get 10 days full pay.
  • Payroll Giving: We encourage generous giving and donate to the high‑impact charities you support.
  • Free parking. Our Christchurch and Auckland offices include dedicated 24/7 car parks at no cost to you. You can use them during work hours or outside of work, including evenings and weekends.
