Job summary

Generate Investment Holdings Limited in Auckland, NZ is seeking a Senior Product Manager to lead the successful delivery of customer-focused products aligned with strategic objectives.

The role oversees the product lifecycle, drives data-informed decisions, and collaborates with Technology, CRM, Distribution, and CX to ensure timely, high-quality launches. Mentorship and leveraging AI for continuous improvement are key.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of experience in product management with a strong record of delivering customer-centric products from concept through to launch.
• Proven experience in developing and executing product strategies that align with business objectives and improve the user experience.
• Hands-on experience collaborating with software development teams to scope, plan, and deliver new product offerings.
• Client-facing experience with a strong customer service orientation, ensuring products meet customer needs and drive satisfaction.
• Confident using digital tools and willing to learn and adopt AI tools to improve productivity, quality and ways of working.

Responsibilities

• Shape and deliver product strategy – Turn customer and business needs into a clear product roadmap and deliver products from concept through to launch.
• Own the end-to-end product lifecycle – Lead discovery, design, development, testing, launch and post-launch optimisation, ensuring high-quality customer outcomes.
• Champion the customer – Use customer research, feedback and market insights to create simple, intuitive products and experiences that solve real customer needs.
• Make data-driven decisions – Define and track product KPIs, analyse performance and combine data with customer insights to continually improve products.
• Lead cross-functional delivery – Work closely with Technology, CRM, Distribution, CX and other teams to align priorities, navigate constraints and successfully deliver the product roadmap.
• Lead and mentor – Provide leadership and mentoring to the Product Manager, building capability and sharing product expertise across the wider business.
• Drive innovation and continuous improvement – Explore AI, automation and emerging digital capabilities to improve how products are researched, developed, delivered and optimised.

About The Role

The Senior Product Manager will play a critical role in ensuring the successful delivery of customer-focused products that align with Generate’s strategic objectives.

This position is responsible for overseeing the product lifecycle and ensuring that all product initiatives are informed by customer insights and data. The Senior Product Manager will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to ensure that product execution aligns with the company’s strategic direction while providing operational support to ensure timely and high-quality product launches.

You can expect your day to day to look something like this:

About You

We’re looking for an experienced, strategic and customer-focused product leader who can turn ideas and insights into products that deliver real value. You’ll be commercially minded, data-driven and comfortable working across Technology and the wider business to take products from discovery through to delivery.

You’ll also be a collaborative and confident leader who enjoys mentoring others, challenging thinking and using emerging technology and AI to continuously improve how we work.

In addition to the above you will also have:

• 7+ years of experience in product management with a strong record of delivering customer-centric products from concept through to launch.
• Proven experience in developing and executing product strategies that align with business objectives and improve the user experience (UX).
• Hands-on experience collaborating with software development teams to scope, plan, and deliver new product offerings.
• Client-facing experience with a strong customer service orientation, ensuring products meet customer needs and drive satisfaction.
• Confident using digital tools and willing to learn and adopt approved AI tools to improve productivity, quality and ways of working.
