Job summary

Stantec in New Zealand seeks a Senior Power Project Manager to lead delivery of Power Delivery projects across the country. You will manage complex projects from planning through to completion, coordinating clients, teams, specialists and contractors to meet safety, budget and schedule targets.

The role requires extensive PM experience in power utilities, strong leadership, and the ability to build client relationships and mentor rising project managers.

Qualifications

• 15 years of relevant project management experience in power/utilities.
• Experience managing utility, power systems, substation and/or transmission projects.
• Strong PM capabilities: planning, execution, financials, risk, quality, resourcing, stakeholder mgmt.
• Proven ability to build and maintain client relationships.
• Leadership experience mentoring project managers.

Responsibilities

• Lead multi-disciplinary teams on proposals, planning studies, feasibility through design and construction.
• Manage resources, contracts, costs and schedules to stay on time and budget.
• Provide risk, quality, and change management across projects.
• Develop client relationships to facilitate project activities.
• Mentor and develop future leaders and succession plans.
• Promote collaboration across geographies and business lines.
