Job summary

Air New Zealand Limited is seeking a Senior Platform Engineer for the Connected Aircraft squad within TechOps Performance Tribe in Auckland. You will engineer, operate and continuously improve platforms enabling aircraft connectivity, onboard and ground systems to run securely and reliably for 24/7 operations.

You’ll work across Windows, AWS, security and modern Platform Engineering with hands-on ownership, scripting, automation and CI/CD to deliver resilient services across Boeing and Airbus

Qualifications

• Significant hands-on platform/infrastructure experience in enterprise environments.
• Strong Windows Server engineering and application support.
• Solid AWS infrastructure experience and secure cloud/hybrid architecture knowledge.
• Experience with PKI, TLS, certificate lifecycle management and secure connectivity.

Responsibilities

• Engineer and support secure, reliable Windows platforms, AWS and hybrid infrastructure for Connected Aircraft apps and ground systems.
• Provide Level 2 and Level 3 support for equipment and software used in operations.
• Build and improve CI/CD, source control, automated testing and deployment practices.
• Develop and maintain security and identity infrastructure including PKI and TLS.
• Develop automation using PowerShell, Python, Shell to improve reliability and supportability.
• Own monitoring, incident response and production readiness for 24/7 services.
