Health New Zealand | Te Whatu Ora Counties Manukau seeks a Senior Clinician Occupational Therapist to join a busy acute service, primarily on neurological wards at Middlemore Hospital (ward 35e). The role focuses on addressing occupational needs during acute admission and supporting transitions to home, rehab, or community services.

The successful candidate will have extensive neurological OT experience, teaching and mentoring skills, and a current NZ OT registration.

Qualifications

• Registered with the Occupational Therapy Board of New Zealand.
• APCA minimum of 5 years of relevant experience.
• Experience in teaching, coaching and mentoring.
• Supervisory experience with students and staff.
• Full, clean drivers licence.

Responsabilités

• Apply sound clinical reasoning and evidence-based knowledge in practice
• Provide consultation and advice to staff managing patients in specialist areas
• Offer clinical supervision and mentoring to Occupational Therapists and other staff
• Lead and foster a learning culture including leading and running of training
• Contribute to the development and review of clinical guidelines, service design, and processes
• Facilitate and model inter-professional and transdisciplinary practice, collaborating across teams
• Contribute to and promote emerging developments in practice, staying current with advancements in the field
