Health New Zealand | Te Whatu Ora in Wellington is seeking a Clinical Midwife Manager to provide senior clinical leadership and oversee the safe, day-to-day operation of the maternity unit. You will manage admissions and elective procedures, coordinating staff rosters and planning workforce needs.

You will respond calmly to emergencies, promote whānau-centred care, and collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure excellence in maternity services.

Qualifications

• Must be registered with the NZ Midwifery Council and hold an APC.
• Minimum five years' midwifery experience and a current safety check.
• Demonstrated leadership and ability to coordinate complex rosters.

Responsabilités

• Provide senior clinical leadership and coordination for the maternity unit.
• Oversee admissions and elective procedures, including inductions.
• Coordinate and allocate staff according to clinical need and roster changes.
• Proactively plan workforce requirements and ensure safe staffing levels.
• Foster whānau-centred care and collaboration across multidisciplinary teams.
