Job description

The Senior Manager, Financial Reporting is responsible for overseeing end-to-end financial accounting, reporting, and tax functions across multiple entities. This role ensures the accuracy, timeliness, and compliance of all statutory and management reporting, while driving process improvements and automation. As a key member of the finance leadership team, the Senior Manager partners with FP&A, auditors, tax agents, and regulators, and plays a pivotal role in Certis’ transition to SAP S/4.

What You’ll Do:

Lead Financial Accounting & Reporting – Oversee end-to-end financial accounting, consolidation, and reporting functions, ensuring timely and accurate completion of monthly, quarterly, and annual closes.

Ensure Compliance & Controls – Monitor and adopt new/revised accounting standards and tax regulations; establish and enforce robust internal controls, governance policies, and statutory compliance.

Drive Automation & Transformation – Identify, evaluate, and implement digital and automation initiatives to streamline reporting, strengthen accuracy, and improve efficiency.

Business Partnering & Advisory – Collaborate with FP&A/management accounting teams on accounting and tax matters; provide financial insights that support decision-making.

Audit & Regulatory Liaison – Serve as the primary contact for internal and external auditors, tax agents, and regulators; manage audit processes and ensure compliance with statutory obligations.

Support SAP S/4 Transition – Lead finance’s involvement in SAP S/4 implementation, including UAT, data migration, process redesign, and hypercare support.

What You’ll Bring:

Education & Credentials – Degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field; CPA, CA, or ACCA qualification preferred.

Experience – 10 years in accounting, reporting, tax, and controls; early career experience in audit, with 4–6 years in managerial/leadership roles.

Technical Expertise – Strong knowledge of financial reporting standards (FRS115 Revenue Recognition, FRS116 Leases), statutory consolidation, and exposure to transfer pricing.

Systems & Tools – Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel and PowerPoint; working knowledge of SAP/SAP HANA is preferred.

Leadership & Attributes – Strong people management and communication skills; meticulous, detail-oriented, and resilient in fast-paced, change-driven environments.

Other Requirements – Able to commit to long working hours during peak reporting periods.
