Qualifications

• Completed doctoral degree in Sport Development, Sport Management, Sport Leadership, or closely related field.
• Experience teaching at undergraduate and postgraduate levels in a tertiary environment.
• Strong publication record commensurate with career stage and ability to secure external research funding.

Responsibilities

• Develop an impactful research programme and publish in high-quality peer-reviewed journals; secure external funding; supervise postgraduate research students.
• Coordinate and deliver research-informed teaching across undergraduate and postgraduate programmes (SPEX209, SPEX314, SPEX461) and contribute to the taught Master of Sport Development and Management.
• Contribute to curriculum development and academic leadership within the Sport Development and Management major.
• Support the School’s operation through service, engagement and collegial participation within the University and wider community.
• Promote and contribute to Te Tiriti o Waitangi and the Māori and Pacific strategic frameworks.
