A national customs agency in Auckland is seeking a motivated individual to join their Customs Intelligence Unit. The role involves identifying border risks, managing a team, and requiring strong analytical skills with experience in tools like Nexus and I2 Charts. Applicants must hold New Zealand Citizenship or Permanent Residency and be able to attain a Top-Secret national security clearance. The position offers comprehensive training and flexible working arrangements.

We are looking for a motivated person to join our Customs Intelligence Unit. You will have either knowledge of Customs / the border environment or have experience in Intelligence.
Part of the wider Intelligence, Investigations, and Enforcement group based in Auckland, reporting to the Supervising Customs Officer of the team. You will generally work within regular hours – Monday to Friday.
Salary range: $82,894 – $106,618.
Senior Customs Officers must manage their own and others' skills, knowledge and expertise to ensure a multi‑skilled team approach. You will also encompass leadership skills to coach and mentor others, and have the ability to act up as a Supervising Customs Officer when they are away.

To be successful, you must obtain and maintain a Top‑Secret level national security clearance.
