Job summary

WorkSafe New Zealand is seeking a Senior Intelligence Analyst to develop and deliver intelligence that informs regulatory action across the organisation. About Your Team / Ko Te Tīma

Enterprise Planning and Implementation is a new group established at WorkSafe to strengthen planning, coordination, and implementation across the organisation, particularly to improve how work is prioritised, sequenced, and supported through to delivery.

The Regulatory Intelligence team provides intelligence and insights that help WorkSafe understand risk, identify emerging issues, and make informed decisions. Working across the organisation and with external partners, the team delivers intelligence products that support operational, tactical, and strategic regulatory activity.

About The Role / Ō Te Tūranga

As a Senior Intelligence Analyst, you'll play a key role in developing and delivering intelligence that informs organisational priorities and regulatory action. You'll work with a wide range of information sources to identify patterns, risks, and emerging issues, providing high-quality intelligence products and expert advice that support decision‑making at all levels. This is an opportunity to apply your analytical expertise to work that makes a tangible difference to workplace health and safety across New Zealand.

Salary range / Awhe utu

As part of our remuneration framework, the expected appointment base salary is $112,754 -$124,480 (KiwiSaver/SSRSS employer contributions are additional). From 1 April 2026 our KiwiSaver employer contribution increased to 3.5%.
