Job summary

Kāinga Ora – Homes and Communities is seeking a Manager – Information to lead enterprise-wide information management and governance in Aotearoa. The role focuses on transforming information assets into strategic outcomes and delivering a modern, intelligence-led organisation and digital workplace.

The role demands strong leadership, regulatory knowledge, and the ability to drive change across the organisation while partnering with Te Tiriti o Waitangi principles and diverse stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Set and deliver the organisation’s information management strategy and roadmap
• Establish and maintain information governance frameworks, policies, and standards
• Ensure compliance with the Public Records Act and regulatory requirements
• Lead delivery of information lifecycle management systems and processes
• Drive continuous improvement and innovation, including emerging technologies
• Build strong stakeholder relationships and influence enterprise-wide adoption
• Lead and develop a high-performing information management team
• Contribute to the Data, Insights & AI leadership strategy
• Proven experience leading information management and governance in complex organisations
• Strong expertise in records management, compliance, and regulatory environments
• Strategic thinker with the ability to translate strategy into delivery
• Demonstrated people leadership and team development capability
• Excellent stakeholder engagement and influencing skills
• Experience driving organisational change and continuous improvement
• Strong communication skills and ability to simplify complex concepts
• Understanding of Te Tiriti o Waitangi and commitment to partnership principles
