Job summary

Green by Nature is seeking a reliable Gardener to maintain outdoor spaces across the Queenstown/Wanaka region. You will handle planting, weeding, pruning, and vegetation control while ensuring jobs are safe, timely, and of high quality.

Reporting to the Team Manager, you will support a team of gardeners, mentor trainees, and oversee day-to-day operations at sites. A driver’s license and a hands-on, can-do attitude are essential, with a strong emphasis on health and safety.

Qualifications

• Certificate in horticulture is desirable but not required.
• Driver's licence (manual) is required.
• Strong work ethic and can-do attitude.
• Knowledge of health and safety practices.
• Good communication skills with team and community members.
• Physical fitness for standing, bending and gardening tasks.

Responsibilities

• Planting, weeding, pruning, and vegetation maintenance.
• Oversee day-to-day operations at designated sites.
• Mentor trainees and fellow gardeners.
• Maintain open communication with Team Manager.
