Westpac New Zealand Limited is seeking a Risk and Compliance Manager focused on Financial Crime/AML for Institutional and Business Banking. Based in Auckland or Christchurch, the role reports to the Senior Manager Risk, Compliance & QA and drives AML risk advisory, escalations, and related initiatives across multiple business units.

You will champion risk culture, influence senior stakeholders, and work in a dynamic environment within NZ’s financial services sector.

Qualifications

• 6+ years in financial services with 3+ years in Financial Crime or similar risk discipline.
• Strong knowledge of Financial Crime regulatory guidelines e.g. AML/CFT Act.

Responsibilities

• Provide financial crime risk advisory and guidance across IBB.
• Manage AML escalations/approvals and support risk-related projects.
• Promote proactive risk culture and cross-functional collaboration.
