Job summary

Rotorua Hospital is seeking Emergency Medicine Senior House Officers for the 2027 training year. You will work in a regional ED with a supportive team of consultants, registrar officers, medical students and nursing staff, gaining procedural experience and exposure to a broad patient mix.

The Lakes ED is ACEM accredited and offers an additional six-month anaesthetic rotation, credentialing in ultrasound and procedural sedation, and mentorship from FACEMs who have Fellowship achievements.

Qualifications

• ACEM-accredited ED training pathway available.
• MCNZ registration or eligible required.
• Interest in providing acute and general medical care to the community.

Responsibilities

• Provide emergency medical care in Rotorua Hospital ED.
• Engage in ultrasound and procedural sedation credentialing.
• Contribute to ACEM exam question writing and teaching activities.
