Job summary

Rocket Lab seeks a Senior Dynamics Analyst to help bring the Neutron vehicle to life. You will predict vibration environments, define test plans, and support dynamic testing campaigns across cross-functional teams in Auckland.

Ideal candidates have 5+ years in aerospace or related fields, strong experience with FE methods and sensors, and fluency in Python-driven data analysis. The role is based in Auckland, New Zealand.

Qualifications

• Degree in Mechanical or Aerospace Engineering or similar field.
• 5+ years experience in aerospace, automotive, or marine industries.
• Physics-based problem solving approach.
• Experience with sensor selection and data post-processing/interpretation.

Responsibilities

• Predict launch vehicle vibration environments using FE and analytical methods.
• Define test plans and support dynamic testing campaigns.
• Specify sensors and locations to monitor in-flight environments.
• Collaborate with avionics, mechanical, fluids, and propulsion teams on mounting strategies.
• Document test environments and qualification status for components.
