Job summary

Fujitsu Limited in Wellington, New Zealand, seeks a Senior Domain Architect, Multi-Cloud to lead architecture across Azure and hybrid cloud. You will guide strategy, design secure, scalable solutions, and drive automation and IaC. Hybrid work pattern with on-site collaboration is expected.

Role requires deep cloud experience, IT leadership, and hands-on DevOps, Terraform, Bicep, and scripting. You will mentor teams and shape customer outcomes in a dynamic tech environment.

Qualifications

• Minimum 10 years IT experience including senior architecture or engineering responsibilities.
• Minimum 5 years hands-on cloud engineering in production.
• Strong Azure architecture, networking, security and identity skills (Microsoft Entra ID).
• Experience designing and documenting complex enterprise cloud/hybrid environments.
• Hands-on with Terraform, Bicep, Git, Azure DevOps and/or GitHub Actions (CI/CD).
• Scripting/API experience using REST/JSON.
• Windows and Linux administration, monitoring, governance and security.

Responsibilities

About the role

At Fujitsu, we believe in using technology to make happier lives. We are seeking an experienced Senior Domain Architect, Multi-Cloud to join our team in Wellington, New Zealand.

You will provide senior technical leadership across Azure and hybrid cloud environments, shaping customer strategy and delivering secure, resilient and cost-effective solutions. Working across consulting, pre-sales and delivery, you will combine strong architecture capability with hands-on experience in Infrastructure as Code, DevOps and automation.

Responsibilities and Accountabilities

• Advise customers on hybrid and multi-cloud strategy, investment options and workload placement.
• Design secure, resilient and cost-effective Azure and hybrid cloud solutions.
• Produce architecture designs, roadmaps, standards, reusable patterns and technical decision records.
• Provide architecture governance from discovery and design through delivery and operational handover.
• Guide engineering teams in adopting Infrastructure as Code, DevOps, automation and repeatable deployment pipelines.
• Support pre-sales activities, including workshops, proposals, RFP responses, estimates and customer presentations.
• Mentor architects and engineers and contribute to architecture communities of practice.

Requirements and Experience

• Minimum 10 years of IT experience, including senior architecture, engineering, consulting or technical responsibilities.
• Minimum 5 years of hands-on cloud engineering and architecture experience in production environments.
• Strong Azure architecture and engineering expertise, including networking, security and identity using Microsoft Entra ID.
• Proven solution design and documentation experience across complex enterprise cloud or hybrid cloud environments.
• Hands-on experience with Terraform, Bicep, Git, Azure DevOps and/or GitHub Actions, including CI/CD pipeline development.
• Hands-on Scripting and API integration using REST and JSON.
• Experience across Windows and Linux administration, monitoring, troubleshooting, cloud governance and security.
• Strong stakeholder engagement, technical leadership, mentoring, problem-solving and root cause analysis skills.
• A relevant cloud architecture qualification or equivalent industry experience.
• AWS, VMware, Hyper-V and multi-cloud governance.
• Docker, Azure Kubernetes Service and platform engineering.
• Python, Azure Functions, n8n automation workflow and event-driven architectures.
• Microsoft Sentinel, Defender, Azure Monitor, Log Analytics and FinOps.
• Relevant Azure, AWS, Terraform or VMware certifications.
