Job summary

PGG Wrightson Seeds in New Zealand is seeking an experienced Senior ERP Developer to strengthen our Dynamics capability and lead the move from NAV to Dynamics 365 Business Central. You will design, build and support ERP functionality, APIs and integrations across business-critical systems.

This hands-on role reports to the Solution Architect and collaborates with ERP specialists, business users and IT teams to deliver upgrade-safe solutions, optimize processes and ensure secure, maintainable

Qualifications

• Substantial commercial development experience with Microsoft Dynamics NAV and Business Central
• Advanced AL and C/AL capability, including extensions and upgrade-safe customisation
• Experience designing, building and supporting REST APIs, web services and system integrations
• Strong ERP process understanding plus SQL Server and data troubleshooting knowledge
• Strong analytical, communication and collaboration skills

Responsibilities

• Developing and supporting Business Central and NAV extensions, enhancements and custom functionality using AL and C/AL
• Building secure APIs, web services and integrations between ERP, the integration platform and other systems
• Reviewing legacy customisations and recommending what to retain, redesign, replace or retire
• Resolving complex application, integration, data and performance issues at their root cause
• Applying strong coding, source control, testing, documentation, review and release practices
• Explaining technical options, risks and dependencies clearly across business and IT teams

About Us

PGG Wrightson Seeds is looking for an experienced Senior ERP Developer to strengthen our internal Microsoft Dynamics capability and support the transition from NAV to Business Central. You will design, build and support ERP functionality, APIs and integrations across business-critical systems while collaborating across regions, functions and time zones.

The opportunity

Our Modernize Business Systems programme is preparing DLF for the move from legacy Microsoft Dynamics NAV to Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central. Joining now means contributing to today’s operational landscape and the future global platform while building lasting development capability in-house.

This senior, hands-on role reports to the Solution Architect, and works under the technical direction of our Enterprise Architect. You will work with ERP specialists, business users, IT colleagues and partners to turn complex requirements into secure, maintainable and upgrade-ready solutions.

What The Role Involves

• Developing and supporting Business Central and NAV extensions, enhancements and custom functionality using AL and C/AL
• Building secure APIs, web services and integrations between ERP, the integration platform and other systems

Helpful But Not Essential

• A relevant qualification is welcome, but equivalent practical experience is valued equally
• NAV-to-Business Central upgrades, cloud or data migration, testing or cutover experience
• ERP process knowledge across finance, sales, inventory, warehousing, manufacturing or supply chain
• Azure integration services, Azure DevOps, Git, CI/CD or automated testing and deployment
