Job summary

BNZ is seeking a Senior Data Engineer to lead design, delivery and improvement of data products powering insights and decision-making. You will work across data warehousing, mainframe and cloud technologies while guiding the team’s technical direction and engineering practices.

The role combines hands-on data engineering with leadership, in a collaborative, agile context. You will mentor engineers, ensure robust testing and promote modern DevOps standards in a hybrid Wellington or Auckland

Qualifications

• Proven SQL and mainframe expertise with JCL/SAS.
• Experience with data warehouse concepts and practices.
• Desirable Snowflake, Python and Airflow familiarity.
• Commitment to modern engineering practices and DevOps.
