Job summary

DEFEND Limited in New Zealand seeks a Senior Cybersecurity Consultant to partner with customers, understand objectives, identify challenges and deliver meaningful security outcomes. You will guide governance, risk management, and transformation programs while mentoring peers and expanding DEFEND's cyber resilience roadmap.

Qualifications

• 8+ years' experience in security consulting or related security role.
• CISSP, CISM or equivalent certification.
• Experience engaging with diverse technical and business stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Conduct information security assessments and develop risk-based treatment plans.
• Identify cyber risks with stakeholders and propose solutions aligned with business priorities.
• Support governance, risk management and strategic security planning and transformation programs.
• Develop security roadmaps and improvement programs to strengthen resilience.
• Own delivery and reporting of engagements in line with Statements of Work.
• Research emerging tools, technologies, and industry trends to provide current advice.
• Collaborate with architects, delivery teams, partners and customer stakeholders.
• Mentor colleagues and help develop capability across the consulting team.
• Identify opportunities to support customers with DEFEND's products and services.
• Work with leadership and sales to progress value-adding opportunities.
• Contribute thought leadership both internally and externally.
