Job summary

LIC's Technology team is hiring a security professional to protect New Zealand's dairy industry. Reporting to the Information Security Manager, you will lead vulnerability management, conduct risk assessments and threat modelling, and drive security improvements across cloud, on-prem, and services.

You will collaborate with technology teams to embed pragmatic security practices, support incident response, and shape LIC's security posture for a safer digital environment.

Qualifications

• 5+ years' experience in cyber security, information security, security engineering, or a similar role.
• Proven experience leading Vulnerability Management and/or CTEM programmes.
• Strong capability in security risk assessments, reviews, and threat modelling across apps, infrastructure and cloud.

Responsibilities

• Lead LIC's vulnerability management programme, from identification to remediation and reporting.
• Conduct security reviews, risk assessments, and threat modelling to identify and reduce risks.
• Support and enhance security controls, standards, and processes to strengthen LIC's security posture.
• Partner with technology teams to embed pragmatic security practices enabling business outcomes.
• Support incident response activities and drive improvements from lessons learned.
• Contribute to cyber security uplift initiatives, assurance activities, audits and penetration testing programmes.
• Develop and maintain security policies, standards, and operating procedures.
• Monitor emerging threats, vulnerabilities, and industry trends to keep LIC secure.
• Provide meaningful security reporting and insights to support informed decision-making.
