Job summary

Corrections is seeking a Senior Community Work Supervisor to lead assessment of community work projects, mentor staff and help identify new opportunities across the motu.

You will supervise people on a community work sentence, coordinating with churches, marae, schools and other sites to support hours completion and safety.

This role offers a 40-hour week, with conditions including 4 weeks annual leave (increasing after six years) and on-site induction and training.

Qualifications

• Good relationship management skills and ability to mentor others.
• Able to deal with immediate safety risks.
• Full New Zealand Driver Licence and able to drive a manual vehicle.

Responsibilities

• Lead and mentor community work supervisors and oversee projects.
• Supervise people on the community work sentence and support hours completion.
• Identify and secure new project opportunities within the community.
• Build and maintain relationships with partners such as churches, marae, and schools.
• Provide induction and on-the-job training.
