Job summary

Auckland University of Technology (AUT) is seeking a senior librarian to lead the Te Mātāpuna Library & Learning Services Collections team. The role is fixed-term, full-time (37.5 hours) based at the City Campus and reports to the Director Collections & Infrastructure.

You will shape strategic direction, promote openness and equity, and bring bold ideas to evolve collections work with a Tiriti framework across AUT campuses.

Qualifications

• A recognised postgraduate qualification preferably in MLIS/MIS.
• 7-8 years’ experience in a relevant professional library position.
• Knowledge of collections work, scholarly publishing and communications.
• Commitment to equity, diversity and inclusion and AUT’s Te Aronui journey.

Responsibilities

• Lead the Collections team and contribute to the strategic direction of Te Mātāpuna Library & Learning Services.
• Direct a high performing team and shape the future of collections work.
• Collaborate across AUT campuses and uphold the Tiriti framework in service delivery.
